Xiaomi Unveils Redmi K70 Series
Xiaomi’s much-anticipated Redmi K70 series is set to make its debut on Wednesday, November 29, unveiling not just one but three new smartphones. Anticipation surrounds the launch of the vanilla Redmi K70, the K70 Pro, and the more budget-friendly K70E. Recent leaks have provided live hands-on images and detailed specifications of both the K70 and K70 Pro models.
Both variants boast impressive 6.67-inch AMOLED panels featuring punch-hole cutouts. The devices showcase sleek glass backs adorned with a frosted pattern. Notably, the rear design showcases an updated camera layout, presenting a sizable glass camera island housing three lenses, each encased in its individual metal ring. Additionally, a fourth cutout is allocated for the LED flash. The camera setup for both K70 models includes a 50MP primary camera with OIS. However, the Pro model further offers a 2x portrait lens and an ultrawide lens, while the standard K70 substitutes these with a 2MP AI camera.
Further insights from the settings menu reveal that both phones will ship with Xiaomi Hyper OS 1.0.1, operating on the Android 14 platform, accompanied by a substantial 12GB of RAM. Powering the K70 Pro is Qualcomm’s top-tier Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, while the vanilla K70 seems to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip.
