In November, Infinix introduced the Smart 8 with the Unisoc T606 SoC and a 13MP main camera. Today, the brand has launched the Smart 8 in India, featuring the Helio G36 SoC and an upgraded 50MP main camera.

The 50MP camera is accompanied by an unidentified secondary camera, possibly serving as an auxiliary unit. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone incorporates an 8MP front camera within a centered punch-hole on its 6.6-inch 90Hz HD+ LCD, boasting 500 nits of peak brightness.

Similar to the Unisoc version, the MediaTek variant includes the Dynamic Island-like Magic Ring feature for background calls and displaying battery charging status. However, the MediaTek model runs on Android 13 Go-based XOS 13 out of the box and is available in a singular 4GB/64GB memory configuration. It also offers a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 1TB.

Other notable features of the Indian Infinix Smart 8 include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB-C, selfie flashlight, and a 5,000 mAh battery, likely supporting 10W charging. Additionally, it comes equipped with DTS sound processing.

Priced at INR 7,499 ($90/€80), the Indian Infinix Smart 8 is available in Rainbow Blue, Shiny Gold, Timber Black, and Galaxy White colors. It is set to be available for purchase in India through Flipkart soon.
