Samsung is gearing up for the launch of mid-range phones following its flagship releases, and the Samsung Galaxy A55 has recently surfaced with new details through various certifications, including Bluetooth SIG and TUV Rheinland.

According to the Bluetooth SIG database entry, the Galaxy A55 will have three variants: SM-A556B, SM-A556E, and SM-A556E_DS. Notably, the phone will support Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, consistent with its predecessor, the Galaxy A54, which was introduced in 2023.

The TUV Rheinland certification provides insights into the charging capabilities of the Galaxy A55. The device is expected to feature a 25W fast-charging kit, drawing power from a battery that supports 9V and 2.55A input, corroborating earlier information from the phone’s CCC certification.

In terms of display, the Galaxy A55 is anticipated to offer a 6.5-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The camera setup includes a 32MP selfie camera and a triple rear camera setup featuring a 50MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and a 5MP macro lens. The design of the phone includes a metal frame, departing from the norm in the Galaxy A series, and introducing the Key Island design for the power and volume keys area, which will be consistent throughout the A series.

Powering the device is expected to be the Exynos 1480 processor, coupled with an AMD RDNA2-powered Xclipse 540 GPU, promising robust performance. Essential features of the A55 include 8GB of RAM, storage options of 128GB or 256GB, a microSD card slot, a 5,000mAh battery, stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint reader, and an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance.
