Samsung is rolling out One UI 6.0 with Android 14, and the Galaxy A72 is now part of the supported devices. While users await One UI 6.1, the Galaxy A72 has started receiving the Android 14 update in select Middle Eastern and European countries. Other regions, like Pakistan, will have to wait a bit longer for the OTA release. Users should watch for the update with firmware version A725FXXU6EXB3, which includes the January 2024 security patch.

Updating is simple through the Settings app’s Software Update section, followed by Download and Install. Android 14 is the final major update for the Galaxy A72, but users can still expect One UI 6.1 before the end of support. One UI 6.0 brings notable changes, including a redesigned Quick Panel for easier access, improved font and settings section, and a new media player widget on the lock screen. Customization options have expanded, with more font and placement choices for the lock screen clock widget. Camera settings and weather widgets are also new, along with a dedicated Battery section in the Settings app and enhanced photo editing controls. Additionally, Samsung has streamlined the app drawer by removing branding from stock app icons.
