As the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 approaches, Samsung is preparing to reveal two new phones: the Galaxy A35 and the Samsung Galaxy A55. Recent leaks have already revealed their specifications, leaving little surprise for the official unveiling.

The Galaxy A35 was recently spotted on the Google Play Console, while the support page for the Galaxy A55 went live on Samsung Portugal’s official website over the weekend, as reported by SamMobile. Although the support page didn’t disclose any new information, we already have a good idea of what to expect from the Galaxy A55.

The Samsung Galaxy A55 is expected to feature the all-new Exynos 1480 processor and an Infinity-O display. The recent listing on Samsung Portugal’s website suggests that the phone will come in two storage variants: 128GB and 256GB.

In terms of display, the latest budget model from Samsung will sport a 6.5-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is speculated to be powered by a robust 5,000mAh battery, ensuring long usage between charges. Additionally, the Galaxy A55 may also feature an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance.

On the software side, the phone is likely to run on Android 14 out of the box. While pricing details are yet to be confirmed, if Samsung follows its usual pricing strategy, the Galaxy A55 could be priced at around $450 (~PKR 125,500).

This rumored price is in line with the cost of the Galaxy A54 last year. As the official unveiling approaches, consumers can anticipate a mid-range smartphone that combines impressive specifications with a reasonable price point.
