Earlier today, Realme officially launched the Realme 12 in India, featuring the Dimensity 6100+ SoC as its powerhouse and starting at a price of INR 16,999. Shortly after the launch, Himanshu Tandon, the country head of Poco India, criticized Realme’s choice of chipset and pricing. Tandon pointed out that Poco offers the Dimensity 6100+ in the M6, priced below INR 10,000.

Tandon suggested that consumers hold off on purchasing the Realme 12 and instead wait for the rumored Poco X6 Neo, which is expected to be unveiled next week. The leaked information hints that the Poco X6 Neo might essentially be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 13R Pro, boasting a 108 MP main camera like the Realme 12 but equipped with a Dimensity 6080 SoC. This chipset offers a slight increase of 200 MHz on two CPU cores compared to the Realme 12’s Dimensity 6100+.

Despite the minor performance boost, the Poco X6 Neo is rumored to be priced at under INR 16,000, possibly around INR 15,999. This marginal price difference and slight CPU upgrade have raised questions about the significance of opting for the X6 Neo over the Realme 12.

According to leaks, the Poco X6 Neo is expected to feature a 6.67-inch 1080×2400 120 Hz OLED display with 1,000-nit peak brightness. Other rumored specifications include a 2 MP depth sensor, a 16 MP selfie camera, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W wired charging support.
